7th April 2005 Windsurfing: Brog Wind Direction: WNW Wind Stength: F3 to F5 Surf / Sea State: Flat / Chop Air Temperature: 14 Sea Temperature: 7 Weather: Variable Max Speed: 1000 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 10000 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Got up the lake at 9:30. No-one there so it's me that unlocks the gate. A quick check and it says 22mph max, so I go for the 5-4. Right away I'm having fun, doin little chop hops and gybing OK. I picked the windiest bits to turn in to stay on it as much as I could. I did a few helis and push tacks to turn around. Good fun. Tried ducking and failed - keep trying. Then Julian and his son turn up, also Boulter todays T man, and phone answering service. Apparently Tony's back from Tobago tonight. Then Casino turns up. We're all having fun and then some geezer arrives and kills the wind. I think. In for a T. Then out again to finish it off. Home for pizza, and C the kids. |
